Microneedling with SkinPen

I’ve had this treatment a couple of times and it has rejuvenated my skin to make it more plump and less dull. It’s safe for all skin types and can promote collagen production in the skin and improve elasticity of the skin, therefore improving fine lines and texture of the skin. It can also help tighten pores and improve the appearance of acne scarring.

The process involves numbing for about 45 minutes and then the microneedling itself took about 10 minutes. This pen had tiny little needles that oscillated up and down to create tiny punctures in my skin. It’s less painful than it sounds and the numbing cream definitely helped. The pain was 4-5/10 at most and generally about a 3/10.

Once the treatment was done, I had a few spots of pinpoint bleeding and my face was pink all over. It felt a little warm. It was only very slightly swollen for less than a day and the redness subsided after about a day. My skin was a little flakey for the next couple of days, but I could already tell something good was happening. By day 4, I was completely back to normal and could see the improvements in my skin and it looked refreshed. The downtime wasn’t bad at all and I was able to wear makeup after a couple of days.

I definitely would recommend this treatment if you’re looking for an anti aging treatment with very little downtime to improve your skin quality.
